is an exciting underwater activity - filled introduction to the world of diving. The
PADI Seal Team
program gives children a chance to swim around underwater and experience adventure, discovery and thrills. It also provides
parents or guardians with a structured program that lets their children develop skills, learn about the
aquatic realm
and have a lot
of good, clean fun.
Getting Kids on the Team "Seal Team" To become official members of the PADI Seal Team, kids must complete the first five of 15 AquaMissions. These activities develop fundamental scuba skills and knowledge while preparing kids for further adventure. Children learn about diving by watching the PADI Seal Team video, through the PADI Seal Team AquaMission Activity Book and during predive briefings with their PADI Instructor. Each AquaMission consists of a briefing, a skill session and a game or activity. Completing the pool dive and answering allenge questions in their PADI Seal Team AquaMission Logbooks earns young divers an AquaMission decal. Finishing AquaMissions 1-5, which is equivalent to completing the skills in Confined Water Dive One from the Open Water Diver Course, means youngsters are PADI Seal Team members. Receiving a PADI Seal Team member card and wall certificate recognizes their accomplishments and allows them to work toward PADI Master Seal Team recognition. PADIsealteam.com As part of their PADI Seal Team membership, PADI Seals have access to a special website designed for young divers. There, young divers can learn more about the PADI Seal Team through character bios and they can read about the PADI Seal Team and Specialty AquaMissions. Kids can check out links to PADI.com and projectaware.org... |

|
| PADI DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING PROGRAM...
PADIs Discover Scuba Diving
program introduces people to
scuba diving
in a highly supervised and relaxed manner. It dispels
common misconceptions about scuba by letting individuals try it for themselves. Under the guidance of a
PADI
professional, new
divers learn basic safety concepts, put on equipment and swim around underwater in a closely supervised environment. The
PADI Discover Scuba Diving
program can take place in a swimming pool, protected confined open water area and at an open water dive
site, anywhere an appropriate, positive introduction to
scuba diving
is possible. After trying scuba, many new divers may decide
to repeat the experience. If not immediately, then on other occasions or in different areas. Others will choose to pursue
certification by enrolling in a
PADI Scuba Diver
or
Open Water Diver
course. The desired result is to excite people about
scuba diving
and encourage additional participation. When certain requirements are met, new divers may earn credit toward
PADI Scuba Diver
and
Open Water Diver
certification...

| PADI / DAN OXYGEN PROVIDER COURSE...
This course,
Oxygen First Aid
for Scuba Diving Injuries, represents entry-level training designed to educate the general diving (and
qualified non-diving) public to better recognise possible dive-related injuries and to provide emergency
oxygen first aid
while
activating the local emergency medical services (EMS) and / or arranging for evacuation to the nearest available medical facility.
The course is designed to train and educate the general diving public in the techniques of using oxygen as first aid for suspected
dive injury. In addition, this course will introduce novice divers to fundamentals of recognising diving injury signs and symptoms,
response and management. This program also provides an excellent opportunity for experienced divers and
instructors
to continue
their education. The
PADI
/
DAN
Oxygen Provider
course is not designed to train lay persons to provide oxygen to the general
public. While the medical standards and equipment are the same regarding the emergency use of oxygen for both divers and
non-divers, the
PADI
/
DAN
Oxygen Provider
course does not prepare individuals to respond to the ill or injured member of the
public by using emergency oxygen...

|
| PADI RESCUE DIVER COURSE...
PADI Rescue Diver
course is a pivotal step in expanding a divers knowledge and experience.
Rescue Divers
learn to look
beyond themselves to consider the safety and well-being of other divers. This is why the
PADI Rescue Diver
certification is a
prerequisite for all
PADI leadership - level
training
(
PADI
Divemaster,
Assistant Instructor,
and
Open Water Scuba Instructor
).
Rescue Diver
training expands the basic problem prevention and accident management skills student divers learn beginning with
the
PADI Open Water Diver
course. At the
Rescue Diver
level, students are ready to learn to manage more complex dive
emergencies and to apply direct intervention techniques to assist others in an emergency. By its nature, the course is demanding,
though realistic in its conduct, content and approach. Although the nature and context in which rescue training may be used is
serious, the course should be an enjoyable challenge that builds diver confidence...
